Deposits
To secure booking arrangements, the minimum deposit of one (1) night’s accommodation must be paid within 14 days from the date of the booking unless otherwise organised with management.
If the deposit is not paid by the due date, the manager reserves the right to cancel the booking.
Payment can be made by credit card (Visa, MasterCard), money order, cheque, direct deposit or by cash.
Cheque and/or Money Orders are to be made payable to Captain’s Cove and posted to 13 Mitchell Street, Paynesville VIC 3880.
Cancellations
Notice of cancellation must be made to the Captains Cove directly.
Deposits will only be refunded if the booking can be re-filled.
Failure to arrive on the reserved booking date and cancellations after check-in will result in no refund.
Payment
Full payment must be made at the time of check-in or the morning after if checking in after 6.00pm.
Payment can be made by credit card (Visa, MasterCard), cheque or cash.
Arrivals
Guests under the age of 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18 years of age.
Check-in time is between 2:00pm – 6.00pm. Check-out time is by 10:00am. Early check-in and/or late check-out is by arrangement only.
Guests are to notify the Managers if their arrival time is outside the listed hours.
Security Deposit
Guests are required to provide a credit card number/imprint on arrival for incidental charges. Where a credit card is not available a cash bond equivalent to one nights’ accommodation will be required. The length of the guests stay may vary the amount of cash deposit required.
House Rules
For the comfort of all guests, all smoking is to be done on the lower out side balcony.
Pets are prohibited in all units.
Guest and invitees of the guests are expected to behave in a manner conductive to the safety, comfort and convenience of the guests within the property.
A breach of the House Rules may result in the summary eviction of the offender at the discretion of the Manager.
A breach of House Rules includes:
• Noisy, offensive and/or unruly behaviour
• Damage to or destruction of property
• Improper or unseemly conduct
• Any act or omission which, in the opinion of the Manager adversely affects or brings discredit upon Captains Cove, the Manager, owner or the guests
It is also a condition of your occupation that the owners/manager of the premises is not liable for any omission, defaults or neglect for accidents or injuries to occupiers or guests visiting and damages to or loss of any property which the occupier or their guests brought on to the premises apart from any liability under the Travelers Accommodation Providers (Liability) Act 2001.
Complaints
It is vital that guests report to the managers as soon as possible (including after hours if necessary) of any incident occurring in the units or on the premises in order to ensure that the issue is resolved immediately and effectively. Please do not try to resolve the matters of other guests on your own accord.
Disclosure and Information Sharing
Captains Cove will not disclose your personal information, unless we have your express permission or where we are abided by law to do so, we are request by you to carry out the necessary services; we reasonably believe that disclosure is necessary to prevent or lesson a serious and imminent threat to an individual’s life, health or safely or a serious threat to public health or safety; and or suspect that unlawful act is or has been made and this information is a necessary for any part of investigation in the matter including us reporting our concerns to the relevant authorities.
Otherwise in order to protect your personal information we hold from misuse, loss, unauthorized access and or modification, we apply standard industry safety procedures for confidentiality. If there are any outstanding charges to Captains Cove which has not been paid then the personal information is kept in our records until full payments are made. Once all accounts are clear between the customer and Captains Cove, we no longer need your personal information and if you request us to discard your personal information we will destroy all your personal information from our system.
